Job summary

MedQuest Imaging seeks a Mammography Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team at the Novant Health Breast Center in Charlotte, NC. The role involves performing screening mammograms, educating patients, and maintaining documentation with Epic EMR in a supportive, safety-focused environment.

We offer a 40-hour work week with potential 4x10 shifts, and opportunities for growth through internal training programs in a collaborative setting with Novant Health Systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Certification in Mammography.
• ARRT registered and Mammography registry.
• Completed required CEU’s to ensure Certification remains active.
• Active state licensure, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening mammograms under supervision.
• Assist in patient education and preparation.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the mammography procedure.
• Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the mammography procedure.
• Perform equipment maintenance and sterilization to maintain the mammography machine in optimal condition.
• Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
• Participate in quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards of practice.
• Stay informed about the latest developments and trends in diagnostic mammography.
• Utilize Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system for patient documentation and record-keeping.
