Job description
(25%) Perform diagnostic and screening mammography, DEXA, and related radiology procedures per physician orders and department protocols. Ensure proper positioning, image quality, and patient communication. Maintain repeat rates ≤5% (mammography) and ≤8% (radiography).
(15%) Conduct equipment quality control, routine maintenance, and report malfunctions. Perform mammography QC tests, document results, and take corrective action when needed.
(15%) Use RIS/PACS systems accurately. Document atypical conditions, troubleshoot image transmission issues, and elevate problems when necessary.
(20%) Follow radiation safety and sterile techniques. Apply shielding appropriately and ensure patient safety during procedures.
(10%) Participate in training, maintain licenses/certifications, and complete continuing education requirements.
(15%) Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and radiologists. Provide clear instructions, collaborate across departments, and uphold clinic values in all interactions.
