Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in Houston, TX. The role involves performing screening and diagnostic mammography procedures using specialized X-ray equipment and collaborating with radiologists to interpret results.

Ideal candidates hold a current license or certificate, have about a year of Mammography experience, and demonstrate strong patient communication and interpersonal skills.

Formación

• Must hold current license or certificate in the working state.
• Minimum 1 year of Mammography Technician experience preferred.
• Strong communication with patients and good interpersonal skills.
• CPR certification, health certificate, and TB/PPD compliance as applicable.

The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. The Mammography Technologist uses specialized X-ray equipment to take images of the breast tissue and work with radiologists to interpret the results. The Mammography Technologist helps detect breast cancers early to improve the chances of successful treatment and survival.

Minimum Requirements

• Current License or Certificate in state where they will be working
• One (1) year of experience as a Mammography Technician preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to accurately communicate with patients
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
