Job summary

Novant Health in Hilton Head Island, SC is seeking a Mammography Technologist I for part-time days to support our Mammography department.

Responsibilities include preparing patients and operating mammography equipment to obtain diagnostic images; ARRT Radiography and Mammography certification with a state license is required. Preference for 1 year of mammography experience and Bone Densitometry certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2-year degree; ARRT-approved Radiography program required.
• Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography and Mammography – RT(R)(M) required; Bone Densitometry – RT(R)(M)(BD) preferred.
• State license required.
• Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication, and age-specific patient care interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic procedures; prepare patient and operate mammography equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Operate Mammography equipment and prepare patient for procedures.

Market Mammography Tech Part Time Days Job Summary:

The Mammography Technologist I assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the mammographic equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images.

What You'll Do

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.
• Experience: One year of experience in mammography, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography and Mammography – RT(R)(M), required. Certified and registered by ARRT in Bone Densitometry – RT(R)(M)(BD), preferred. Applicable state license, required.
• Additional skills required: Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates Mammography equipment.
