Job summary

Swedish Jobs in Edmonds, WA is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform breast imaging in a high-volume outpatient setting. You will deliver high-quality radiographs while providing compassionate patient care and participate in MQSA and FDA quality control activities.

The position requires ARRT registry, WA licensure upon hire, and BLS certification with a plan to obtain Mammography credentials within one year. This is a part-time role within Providence Swedish’s breast imaging team.

Qualifications

• ARRT registries completed or in process per Washington state requirements.
• Washington Radiologic Technologist licensure upon hire.
• BLS CPR certification upon hire (American Heart Association).
• National Registered Technologist – Radiography (ARRT) upon hire.
• National Registered Technologist – Mammography within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic procedures for breast imaging in a high-volume outpatient setting.
• Produce high-quality radiographic images with professional patient interaction.
• Perform required MQSA and FDA quality control tasks as directed.

Perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting. Responsible for producing high quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner. Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA.

Required Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Mammography

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of full-time mammography experience
