Health Images Diamon Hill is looking for a Mammography Technologist to join our team!

Position Pay Range: $35.50 - $45.80 | Working Days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday | Hours: 7:30am - 5:30pm | $7,500 sign-on bonus available to eligible hires

Summary/Objective:

Performs routine and diagnostic exams relating to breast anatomy to obtain images at a satisfactory level with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions:
  1. Interfaces with patients to ascertain medical history, provides instructions and explanations of procedures, and offers patient education on breast self-examination as needed.
  2. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information or consent, screens for surgical implants, contrast allergies, etc.
  3. Obtains prior imaging as needed and performs high-quality scans for radiologist interpretation.
  4. Provides care before, during, and after exams, notifying appropriate personnel if patient condition changes.
  5. Transfers images as needed and coordinates procedure protocols with the Radiologist.
  6. Maintains and inspects equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
  7. Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding departmental concerns.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

Operates in an outpatient clinical environment with potential exposure to radiation, bodily fluids, and other hazards. May require work in cool, dimly lit rooms.

Physical Demands:

May exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 30 pounds frequently. Requires use of hands, fingers, and visual acuity.

Travel:

No travel expected.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
  • Two+ years' experience in Mammography (preferred)
  • Ability to educate patients on procedures
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, team player
  • Proficient with computer navigation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
Education/Certifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
  • Current ARRT certification
  • Registry in Mammography (M)
  • Complete 40 hours of mammography orientation
  • Complete 8 hours of 3D tomosynthesis training (if applicable)
  • Current state medical license (if applicable)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

None required.
