Job summary

Smart Staffing Group is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in mammography in the New York area. The role involves performing mammography and stereotactic breast procedures under a radiologist's order and greeting patients prior to their exam.

The candidate will position patients, select exposure factors for high-quality radiographs, and maintain MQSA QA/QC standards, while tracking patient data in the RIS for documentation and billing. Pre-employment health clearance is required.

Qualifications

• AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• NYS license/registration or eligible, and ARRT in Mammography.
• Minimum of one-year progressive technical experience plus current CPR certification required.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography and stereotactic breast procedures under the director order of a radiologist.
• Greet patients, prepare them for their exam and explain the procedure to be performed.
• Position the patient appropriately for the radiographs and use proper exposure factors to obtain high quality radiographs.
• Maintain quality standards for mammography as required by the 1999 ACR Mammography QA/QC Manual and Hologic Selenia Dimensions QC Manual.
• Maintain continuing education requirements specified by MQSA, tracking of patient information into the Radiology information system for documentation and billing purposes, and any other tasks that are necessary to maintain quality patient care.
