Qualifications

• Wisconsin Radiographer license and Registered Technologist (RT) with ARRT required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months.

Job description

Responsibilities include:

1. Performing basic and intermediate screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
2. Reviewing patient medical records for clinical information, including patient history, lab results, and physician orders, and obtaining breast health history.
3. Performing scans, identifying breast anatomy, and adapting imaging techniques to improve diagnostic quality.
4. Evaluating mammographic images for positioning, technique, artifacts, and compression; repeating images as necessary; ensuring accuracy of requisitions.
5. Post-processing images, labeling with patient details, and ensuring correct identification of images.
6. Providing pertinent patient history to Radiologists.
7. Maintaining records per regulatory standards, entering data into the radiology information system, and documenting billing codes.
8. Performing patient positioning and transport duties, utilizing proper techniques, including lifting and pushing/pulling.
9. Providing care appropriate for patients' ages, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development, and assessing patient data to meet individual needs.

Qualifications include:

1. Wisconsin Radiographer license.
2. Registered Technologist (RT) with ARRT.
3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months.
4. Advanced training in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
5. No prior experience required.
6. Knowledge of MQSA standards, radiation safety, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and intermediate computer skills.

Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling, and working in potentially hazardous environments, with necessary protective equipment.
