Job summary

Optum NV in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Mammography Technician to join our imaging team. You will perform mammography procedures, verify orders, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include image acquisition, QA testing, and maintaining radiology records in EPIC/Radiant and PACS. Must hold ARRT Mammography and Nevada license, with CPR certification and 1 year of clinical experience in mammography preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from accredited Radiology Technology program or currently enrolled in good standing.
• Current ARRT and Nevada State Mammography license.
• ARRT (M) Mammography certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Current CPR certification and annual TB testing/mask fit testing.
• Knowledge of state and federal imaging guidelines and radiology safety.
• Ability to use PACS/EMR and radiology information systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven organizational and time management abilities.
• Experience with mammography imaging as licensed.

Responsibilities

• Produce mammography images per department protocol.
• Verify orders and communicate changes per protocol.
• Maintain patient identification and explain procedures.
• Perform screening or diagnostic mammography with quality technique.
• Maintain imaging records in EPIC/Radiant and PACS per HIPAA and SMA guidelines.
• Conduct quality control tests per ACR and department policies.
• Maintain equipment and supply storage and cleanliness.
• Follow radiation safety standards and department workflows.
• Attend meetings and huddles and participate in cross-site coverage.
• Adapt to other modalities or sites as needed.
