Job summary

TOPS Comprehensive Breast Centers in Houston, TX, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our team full-time. You will perform high-quality digital mammography exams, prioritize patient comfort, safety and diagnostic accuracy, and contribute to early detection and excellent patient care.

The ideal candidate will have formal Radiologic Technology training, ARRT and Mammography certifications, and Texas MRT licensure, with strong commitment to image quality and patient communication.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT (R) certification and Mammography (M) certification required.
  • Texas MRT license required.
  • Minimum 1 year of mammography experience preferred, but strong new graduates will be considered.
  • CPR certification (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform digital screening and diagnostic mammograms according to physician orders and imaging protocols.
  • Ensure high image quality while minimizing patient exposure to radiation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records within the EMR system.
  • Provide clear instructions and compassionate support to patients before, during, and after procedures.
  • Assist with patient scheduling and exam preparation as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with ACR, FDA, MQSA, and state regulations.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and the broader clinical team to support workflow and diagnostic accuracy.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements and stay current on mammography best practices.

Required Skills
