Job summary

AU Medical Center, Inc. seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform a wide range of Diagnostic Imaging procedures across age groups. You will work under the supervision of a Radiologist or Manager to provide physicians with high-quality data for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities include applying ALARA, ensuring patient safety, and assisting with imaging protocols. Certifications must be current; ARRT-R and BLS are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• All certifications required upon hire unless stated otherwise.
• ARRT-R Radiography certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of Diagnostic Imaging procedures for patients of all ages.
• Adhere to ALARA principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Evaluate image quality and ensure proper patient identification and post-processing.
• Assist Radiologist with procedures and protocols and other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist performs a wide variety of Diagnostic Imaging procedures on patients of all ages to providephysicians with data for diagnostic purposes. This position works under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of Diagnostic Imaging while adhering to departmentprotocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self andothers.Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams in a variety of settings. Evaluates images for technical quality, performspost processing of data and ensures proper Patient identification is recorded.Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their proceduresand exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all.Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds toemergency situations in an appropriate manner. Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique andhand washing policies.Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols.Other duties as assigned.
