Job summary

Hmixray is seeking a Mammography Technologist Trainee in Clinton, Maryland. You will receive comprehensive training including a 40-hour initial Mammography Training Course and hands-on preparation for ARRT certification. Responsibilities include maintaining patient care standards, safeguarding medications, and demonstrating professionalism.

The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, has strong communication skills, and is adept at prioritizing tasks in a clinical setting. Full-time employment as a mammography technologist with RadNet is the goal.

Qualifications

  • Current State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) certification required.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to learn advanced radiology procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Complete initial Mammography Training Course and hands-on training.
  • Pass Mammography Licensing Exam.
  • Safeguard onsite medications and respect patient confidentiality.

  • Complete a 40‑hour initial Mammography Training Course Webinar with 8 hours of training in digital mammography included (Radnet will reimburse you).
  • Complete 8 hours of training in Tomosynthesis (Radnet will reimburse you).
  • Be provided hands‑on training in mammography in preparation for the ARRT mammography registry.
  • Pass the required Mammography Licensing Exam.
  • Become a full‑time mammography technologist with RadNet once certified.
  • Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Safeguard any onsite medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information onsite or on patient portals.
  • Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrate the ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
You Will:

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:
  • A current State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) certification.
  • BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.
  • The keen interest and ability to learn new skills in advanced radiology procedures such as Tomosynthesis, biopsies, and procedures.
  • Are resilient, adaptable and compassionate. Patients can be nervous about their exams; we look to you to provide a calm and friendly demeanor and provide a professional and positive healthcare delivery experience.
  • Be quick thinking and have the ability to take appropriate action on‑the‑fly should an emergent situation arise.
