RadNet is hiring a Mammography Technologist Trainee to join our imaging team and develop hands-on expertise in digital mammography and tomosynthesis. The role provides extensive classroom and on-the-job training with reimbursement for required course work, paving the way to full technologist status upon certification.

Qualifications

• A current State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) certification.
• BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.
• Interest and ability to learn tomosynthesis, biopsies, and advanced radiology procedures.
• Patient-centered attitude with professional and calm demeanor during exams.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 40-hour Mammography Training Course with 8 hours in digital mammography (RadNet reimburses).
• Complete 8 hours of Tomosynthesis training (RadNet reimburses).
• Hands-on mammography training in preparation for the ARRT mammography registry.
• Pass the Mammography Licensing Exam and become a full-time technologist after certification.
• Safeguard medications and protect patient information on-site and in portals.

You Will:

• Complete a 40-hour initial Mammography Training Course Webinar with 8-hours of training in digital mammography included (Radnet will reimburse you).
• Complete 8-hours of training in Tomosynthesis (Radnet will reimburse you).
• Be provided hands-on training in mammography in preparation for the ARRT mammography registry.
• Pass the required Mammography Licensing Exam
• Become a full-time mammography technologist with RadNet once certified.
• Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
• Safeguards any onsite medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information onsite or on patient portals.
• Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:

• A current State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) certification.
• BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.
• The keen interest and ability to learn new skills in advanced radiology procedures such as Tomosynthesis, biopsies, and procedures.
• Are resilient, adaptable and compassionate. Patients can be nervous about their exams; we look to you to provide a calm and friendly demeanor and provide a professional and positive healthcare delivery experience.
• Be quick thinking and have the ability to take appropriate action on-the-fly should an emergent situation arise.
