Job summary

RadNet in Carmel, IN is seeking a Mammography Technologist Trainee to join a patient‑centered radiology team. The program provides hands‑on training and reimbursed courses in mammography and tomosynthesis to prepare for ARRT certification.

You will pass the Mammography Licensing Exam and transition to a full‑time RadNet technologist once certified, while taking part in projects, maintaining professional conduct, and protecting patient information.

Qualifications

• Current state license in diagnostic radiologic technology.
• ARRT (R) certification.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Willingness to learn advanced radiology procedures such as tomosynthesis and biopsies.
• Calm, compassionate demeanor with patients.

Responsibilities

• Complete 40‑hour Mammography Training Course (8h digital mammography) with reimbursement.
• Complete 8 hours of Tomosynthesis training (reimbursement).
• Hands‑on mammography training for ARRT registry preparation.
• Pass the Mammography Licensing Exam.
• Become a full‑time RadNet mammography technologist once certified.
• Participate in projects/meetings and other tasks as assigned.

You Will

• Complete a 40-hour initial Mammography Training Course Webinar with 8-hours of training in digital mammography included (Radnet will reimburse you).
• Complete 8-hours of training in Tomosynthesis (Radnet will reimburse you).
• Be provided hands-on training in mammography in preparation for the ARRT mammography registry.
• Pass the required Mammography Licensing Exam
• Become a full-time mammography technologist with RadNet once certified.
• Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
• Safeguards any onsite medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information onsite or on patient portals.
• Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:

• A current State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) certification.
• BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.
• The keen interest and ability to learn new skills in advanced radiology procedures such as Tomosynthesis, biopsies, and procedures.
• Are resilient, adaptable and compassionate. Patients can be nervous about their exams; we look to you to provide a calm and friendly demeanor and provide a professional and positive healthcare delivery experience.
• Be quick thinking and have the ability to take appropriate action on-the-fly should an emergent situation arise.
