Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist II (PRN) for the Breast Imaging department in Lexington, KY. You will perform screening and diagnostic mammography, assist with interventional procedures such as biopsies, and may conduct breast ultrasound and bone densitometry as part of comprehensive breast imaging.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT Registry in Radiologic Technology.
• Current Commonwealth of Kentucky Radiation License with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must obtain Post-Primary Registry in Mammography (M) and Breast Sonography (BS) or be eligible within 1 year.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures using advanced imaging technology.
• Conducts breast imaging exams, including mammography, breast ultrasound, and bone densitometry as appropriate.
• Assists with breast biopsy procedures and other interventional imaging services.
• Prepares and positions patients to ensure comfort, safety, and optimal image quality.
• Applies advanced image processing and related techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Exercises professional judgment while maintaining ethical standards and patient-centered care.
• Assesses and responds to varying patient conditions to ensure safe and successful exams.
• Ensures all images meet quality standards and are available for interpretation by a licensed provider.
• Adheres to safety protocols, including radiation protection for patients and staff.
