Job summary

Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a Breast Care Center Mammography Technologist for day shift (PRN) to perform diagnostic mammography and ensure high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT-registered with mammography certification, NJ licensed, and has 1+ year of mammography experience. BLS must be obtained within 14 days of hire. This role supports a busy imaging team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• 1+ years of experience performing Mammograms.
• Registered by ARRT and certified in Mammography.
• Licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of X-ray Compliance.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver diagnostic breast imaging with focus on quality patient care, internal and external customer service.
• Transport patients to and from Imaging Services and maintain department paperwork.
• Answer phones, schedule patients, and manage data in PACS/HIS.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure imaging equipment is prepared for procedures.

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

The Mammography Tech is responsible for assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional, and quality patient care, internal and external customer service, performance of all diagnostic x-ray examinations, transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services, preparation of all departmental paperwork, answering the department’s telephone, scheduling of patients, entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS), and maintaining the work area in a clean and organized manner.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
