Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Mammography Technologist to conduct general screening and diagnostic Mammography and/or Bone Densitometry within scope of competency under physician direction. Responsibilities include patient positioning, operating imaging equipment, maintaining supplies, and documenting procedures.

Eligible graduates may apply; must be ARRT (M) within 1 year of hire and be registered within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Position patients for accurate anatomy/pathology demonstrations.
• Operate radiation-producing equipment and electronic radiology systems.
• Prepare patient rooms/equipment/medications and maintain supply inventory.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain informed consent if applicable.
• Complete departmental documentation.
