Job summary

Martin's Point Health Care in Maine seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic x-rays and mammography exams, review providers' requests, and interview patients to determine the views needed for accurate imaging. This role requires ARRT certification and Mammography experience, and a Maine State license for work in Maine.

You will follow radiation safety, contribute to quality assurance, handle radiology correspondence, schedule and assist with clerical tasks, and engage in ongoing

Qualifications

• Mammography experience required.
• ARRT certification required.
• Maine State license required for duties in Maine.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic x-rays and mammography exams.
• Receives and evaluates providers' requests and interviews patients to determine views and positions necessary.
• Practices safe operating procedures and radiation safety while performing radiologic services.
• Performs and assists in daily and monthly quality assurance required for mammography and x-ray.
• Is responsible for all radiology correspondence, internally and externally in reference to staff, physicians, and hospitals.
• Performs all clerical duties, answers telephones, and schedules appointments as needed.
• Ensures all reports are signed by the Radiologist and dated as to the day the report is sent to the requesting provider.
• Ensures that providers receive all reports in a timely fashion.
