Qualifications

• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
• State of Maine License for Radiologic Technology/Radiographer (RT) required.
• OR Temporary State of Maine License for Radiologic Technology/Radiographer (RT) required.
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the ARRT AND State of Maine License for Radiologic Technology/Radiographer (RT) required within 180 days of hire.
• Until the state license is obtained, technologist must work within the guidelines set forth by the State of Maine Board of Licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiological examinations.
• Exercises independent and professional judgment to produce quality radiographs.
• Abides by the policies and procedures set forth by the department.
• Recognizes the patient’s condition, age limitations, and abilities, and acts accordingly to provide quality care.
