Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform mammography and other radiographic exams. You will set up equipment, position patients, and ensure image quality while maintaining safety and privacy.

Required are an Accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT Mammography/Radiography, and BLS. The role emphasizes independent judgment, teamwork, and adherence to standards in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Requires Accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT Mammography/Radiography certifications.
• BLS or equivalent required upon hire; ongoing certification maintenance.
• Ability to perform a wide range of radiologic exams with independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete clinical history and assess contraindications.
• Verify patient identification and proper marker usage.
• Review images for acceptance; release patients when appropriate.
• Respond to emergencies and apply critical thinking.
• Assist other technologists and maintain patient privacy and comfort.
• Adhere to infection control and QA/QC procedures.
