Job summary

Qualifications

• AA or AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved Radiologic Technology program.
• 2 years diagnostic experience preferred. (Will consider new graduates).
• New York State License (L.R.T.) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Mammography Registered or Eligible. (ARRT- M)

Responsibilities

• Performs Mammographic procedures: screening, diagnostic, stereotactic.
• Ensures diagnostic quality per protocols and patient needs.
• Positions patients and assists physicians as required.
• Performs QC functions (daily/weekly/monthly/semi-annual) to meet MQSA and ACR requirements.
• Assists with ACR accreditation.
• Educates patients about imaging procedures and instructions.
• Labels radiographic images per SOP and transmits to PACS timely.
• Operates digital imaging equipment per ACR and FDA guidelines.
• Prepares breast biopsies and needle localizations.
• Maintains sterile fields and supplies for breast imaging.
