Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State and/or Connecticut licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT Mammography certification.
• Minimum of 200 mammography exams performed in past 24 months.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and screening mammography exams per established standards.
• Communicate with Radiologist to confirm exam details and ensure image quality.
• Review prior imaging using BI-RADS lexicon to categorize procedures.
• Prepare patient and explain procedures to reduce pre-test anxiety.
• Assist in image-guided breast procedures (stereotactic biopsy, localization).
• Perform general radiography as needed and maintain equipment.
• Enter patient history into the system and ensure proper labeling and accession numbers.
