Job summary

BMC Berkeley Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in mammography to perform high-quality breast imaging with emphasis on safety and accuracy. You will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure patient care and imaging standards are met across procedures.

Responsibilities include QC testing, image evaluation, and adherence to ARRT/ MQSA requirements while maintaining patient comfort and education during the imaging process.

Qualifications

• Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided.
• Registered in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Registered in Mammography with ARRT (ARRT).
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
• State criminal background check and Federal background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Plans the imaging procedure based on patient needs and exam scope.
• Develops skills to be competent in all exams within job scope defined by leadership.
• Maintain expertise in anatomy, physiology and imaging pathology for patient safety.
• Position and image full breast tissue accurately; minimize radiation exposure.
• Evaluate images for protocol compliance, density, contrast, and absence of artifacts.
