MAMMOGRAPHER/DEXA TECHNOLOGIST

Tired of the big-city grind? Ready to trade rush hour for stunning red rock views? Moab Regional Hospital is looking for a passionate Mammographer/Dexa Technologist to join our Radiology team.

You will be responsible for using specialized X-ray equipment to capture high-quality breast images to aid in the diagnosis of breast conditions and cancers. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, patient care, and safety adherence.

This is a non-exempt, full-time, benefitted position. Starting Pay Range: $29.70-$43.08, DOE. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for permanent, full-time hire, with a 2-year service agreement.

Position Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain mammography equipment to produce clear and accurate X‑ray images of breast tissue.
  • Position and compress patients’ breasts for optimal image acquisition.
  • Ensure patient comfort and provide clear explanations of the procedure throughout.
  • Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to protect both patients and staff.
  • Evaluate mammogram images for quality and may require retakes to ensure optimal results.
  • Maintain detailed patient records and documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest mammography techniques and best practices.
  • May assist physicians during diagnostic procedures (depending on the facility).
  • Promote breast health awareness by educating patients on the importance of regular screenings.
  • Must be ARRT registered.
  • Mammography license or certification required.
  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in mammography is ideal.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor to ensure a comfortable experience for patients undergoing potentially anxiety‑provoking procedures.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Willingness to modify schedule to help accommodate time off requests.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and emotionally mature.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (oral, written, and listening).
  • Ability to work in a confidential manner.
  • Must enjoy working as part of a small team.
  • Must possess high levels of self-motivation and -management.
  • Must possess a positive attitude. Must be flexible and accept other responsibilities that may be assigned.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Moab, if living outside the area.
