Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a per diem Mammography Technologist for the Mass General Waltham location. The role supports Saturday coverage and involves operating mammography equipment, preparing supplies, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate holds a Certificate/Diploma in medical imaging with a state license, ARRT registrations in Radiology and Mammography, and BLS certification within 90 days. Prior mammography experience is preferred in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in medical imaging required; Associate's preferred.
• Radiologic Technologist state license required.
• R.T.(ARRT) and Mammography ARRt certification required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days.
• Experience in screening and diagnostic mammography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates mammographic equipment and related devices.
• Positions patients and uses immobilization as needed.
• Selects exposure factors and modes for proper image quality.
• Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and requests additional views as necessary.
• Prepares and sets up medical supplies using aseptic technique.
• Explains procedures to patients and answers questions.
