Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a part-time Mammographer to perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, bone densitometry, and related imaging procedures. The candidate will work independently within established protocols and collaborate with department staff.

Requirements include graduation from a Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registration as radiographer, ARRT mammography registration or registry eligible, Ohio radiologic license, and prior mammography experience

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registration as radiographer required; mammography registry or eligibility required.
• Ohio Radiologic License is required.
• Certified in Mammography through ARRT or MQSA eligibility.
• Prior mammography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documents accurately, pertinent assessments, interventions and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies procedures and/or guidelines.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationship with other department/service lines, physicians and staff.
• Establishes and maintains strong positive communication with patients and families.

Employment Type:Part timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Mammographer works independently in the space performing screening mammograms and bone density exams.

Position Purpose:

The Mammographer performs a full range of mammographic (screening and diagnostic) and other imaging procedures, such as bone densitometry and stereotactic breast biopsy.

What we are looking for:

• Education: Graduate form a Radiologic Technology program




• Licensure / Certification:

  
  
  
  

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration as a radiographer, required; and

  
  

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration as a mammographer required or registry eligible as a mammographer; and

  
  

  • Valid State of Ohio Radiologic License required.

  
  

  • Must be certified in Mammography through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or meet the Mammography Quality Standards Act criteria (Registry eligible) in the performance of mammography.

  
  
  
  



• Experience: Prior mammography experience preferred. Colleague must meet all prerequisites to sit for the ARRT Mammography specific registry
