Riverside Diagnostic and Breast Imaging Center at Oyster Point in Newport News, VA, is seeking a Mammographer Quality Control Stereo Tech to perform mammography and stereotactic exams, ensure QC procedures, and provide patient care with ALARA safety. The role requires ARRT Mammography (M) certification and CPR/BLS, with weekend shifts and potential work across multiple Riverside sites.

Performs all mammography and stereotactic exams and QC procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Performs patient preparation and explanation of exams, responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation. **What you will do** * Completes mammographic imaging studies and presents them for diagnosis. Produces quality images following appropriate protocols and procedures. Provides clinical documentation per scope of practice.* Performs with a high degree of safety and quality and prevents or reduces harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors. Responsible for the preparation of equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care. Follows ALARA principles according to policy.* Coordinates patient care and performs effective assessment, actions, and documentation. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.* Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards. Reports variances.* Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Troubleshoots and ensures equipment functionality.
