What You Will Do
Performs mammography testing and proceduresforpatients.
Performs quality mammograms following prescribed techniques, with minimal radiation exposure topatientsand self.
Knowledge of MQSA,requiredQCprocedures,andrequiredpatient outcomes tracking.
Able to perform all applicable equipment quality control.
Accurately records all requested database / log records
Assistsradiologists as needed.
Consistently follows hospital and department policies and protocols,
Maintains patient privacy and confidentialityin accordance withprivacy laws (HIPPA) and facility policies.
Takesresponsibility forself-developmentand supportslearningenvironment.
Provides age-specific care to neonates through geriatrics.
Consistently follows hospital and department guidelines for patient identification and safety.
Adheres to ALARA, Image Gently and Image Wisely standards
Adheres to hospital mammography safety standards

Additional Responsibilities
Usesadministrative skills to contribute to the successful operation of the department by entering and completing correct billing codes in the RIS and on patient billing sheets.
