Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform specialized breast examinations and operate mammographic radiographic equipment. The role requires ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography, and BLS certification.

Graduate from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited training is required; 1 year of experience preferred. This is an on-site position based in Newnan, GA, with a focus on patient safety and quality imaging.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR: The Mammography Technologist performs specialized examinations of the breast to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in patients. The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic radiographic equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:None One (1) year minimum experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) - ARRT.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:BLS certified.
