Job summary

Baptist Health System, Inc. is seeking a Mammo Tech at Baptist Health Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY, for PRN, as-needed coverage.

The technologist will operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic breast X-rays and perform mammography under Radiologist guidance. Required are an ARRT-recognized radiologic degree, active Kentucky imaging license, ARRT registration or eligibility, and mammography certification within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in radiologic technology from ARRT-recognized program.
• Active Kentucky license in Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
• ARRT registration or registry-eligible status required.
• Mammography certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic breast radiographs as directed by Radiologists.
• Performs mammography examinations under physician requests per established standards.

Job Description:

• Operates Radiologic equipment to produce clinical radiographs (X-rays) for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Radiologists and performs diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Under the broad direction of the Radiologist, the technologist performs radiographic examinations of the breast as requested by a physician.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency that the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) recognizes, or military training graduate of JRCERT-accredited program required.
• Active licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy required.
• Registered or Registry Eligible by the ARRT required.
• Certification in mammography within one year of hire required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One to three years of experience as an RT preferred.
• Mammography experience preferred.
• BLS preferred upon hire, required within 90 days of hire.
