Job summary

Murray Calloway County Hospital is seeking a Mammography Technologist to operate radiographic equipment for screening and diagnostic imaging under the supervision of the Radiology Director, upholding hospital policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, have ARRT registration, Kentucky radiation operator’s license, CPR current, and at least two years of post-graduate radiologic experience in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program or equivalent.
• Two years post graduate Radiologic experience preferred in a hospital setting.
• ARRT registration required; Kentucky radiation operator's license; Mammography certification preferred; CPR current.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment for screening and diagnostic purposes in radiology.
• Work under the Radiology Director and follow hospital policies and departmental procedures.

Description

The Mammography Technologist works under the direct supervision of the Radiology Director and reports to the Director and/or Assistant Director. The Mammography Technologist operates a variety of equipment for screening and diagnostic purposes in the detection of disease. The technologist upholds the mission and vision of Murray Calloway County Hospital and follows all hospital policies and departmental procedures.

Minimum Education

Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program or equivalent.

Minimum Work Experience

Two years post graduate Radiologic experience preferred in a hospital setting.

Required Licenses

ARRT registered
Must hold a radiation operator's license in the state of Kentucky.
Mammography certification from ARRT preferred.
Current CPR.
