Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Mammo Tech for our Danbury facility in Connecticut. This full-time position involves learning safety, customer service, and operation of radiology through on-the-job training under a registered technologist.

Key duties include pre-screening personnel for magnet room safety, scanning and documenting patients, and ensuring accurate records to meet Akumin and Joint Commission requirements. A radiology school completion and ARRT/ARMRIT/NMTCB/ARDMS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Successful completion of a Radiology School.
• Certificate from College or Technical School.
• Certified by ARRT, ARMRIT, NMTCB or ARDMS.
• State radiologic license if applicable.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Pre-screen personnel before entering the magnet room.
• Scan and document patients under supervision.
• Complete documentation for patient files to meet policies and Joint Commission requirements.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as needed.
