Job summary

Trinity Health seeks a Mammographer Tech III for Mercy One on a part-time day shift. You will perform mammography, care for diverse patient ages, educate patients, and supervise student technologists. The role emphasizes teamwork and quality patient care within Mercy One's facilities.

Candidates must hold an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT(R) and ARRT(M) registrations, and Iowa Permit to Practice, with ongoing CEUs and BLS. Per Diem weekend shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Complete accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Be ARRT registered (R) and mammography certified (M).
• Maintain active Iowa Permit to Practice throughout employment.
• Possess BLS for Healthcare Providers or obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Maintain CEUs: 15 Mammo CEUs/3 years; 1 CEU/year Radiation Safety; 24 CEUs/2 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures on scheduled shifts and operate equipment.
• Provide care for neonate through geriatric patients and educate patients/families.
• Maintain open communication with staff and supervising departments.
• Instruct, supervise, and evaluate student technologists.
• Schedule: Per Diem (PRN), weekends; 4-hour shifts.

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift. Description: Join our exceptional team at Mercy One as a Mammographer Tech III! At Mercy One, you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills, work with state-of-the-art technology, and make a real difference in the lives of our patients. As a Mammographer Tech III at MercyOne, you will:

• Perform mammography procedures on scheduled shifts, operates mammography equipment
• Provide care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Provide patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems
• Maintain open and positive communication with staff, physicians, and other departments
• Instruct, supervise, and evaluate student technologists
• Schedule: Per Diem (PRN) Weekends 4 hour shifts

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (R).
• Registered Mammography Technologist (M).
• Maintains active registry status in ARRT.
• Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice.
• 2 years MercyOne experience or 3 or more mammography experience.
• 15 Mammo CEUs for 3 rolling calendar years.
• 1 CEU per year in Radiation Safety/24 CEU’s every 2 years.
• No formal disciplinary actions in file (written notice or higher).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population serve within three (3) months of hire.
• Must participate in one of the following per year:
• MercyOne sanctioned community event
• Presentation to professional group
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support qualification
