Trinity Health is seeking a part-time radiology technologist to provide diagnostic radiographs and imaging procedures, assisting the Radiologist, and ensuring continuity of patient care.
You will prepare patients and equipment, collect patient history, educate patients, and maintain safety and infection control standards while delivering age-appropriate care.
Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Position Purpose: Provides diagnostic radiographs and performs imaging procedures in accordance with established parameters. Provides continuity of patient care. Assists Radiologist with procedures. Adheres to MercyOnes performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne.
What you will Do: Takes radiographic exposures appropriate to procedure. Prepares patient, room and equipment for procedure. Collects history data from patient and provides patient education. Provides patient cares in accordance with department policy. Provides radiologist pertinent information for interpretation. Demonstrates the ability to interact in a positive manner with other departments, physicians and students. Adheres to all safety, infection control and employee health policies and procedures. Based on principles of growth and development, provides care appropriate to the age related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit, which may include:
Birth-28 days: Neonate
1-18 Months: Infant
18 Mo-3 Yrs: Toddler
3-6 Yrs: Pre-School
Aged 6-12 Yrs: School-Aged
12-18 Yrs: Adolescents
18-65 Yrs: Adults
65+ Yrs: Geriatrics
Hours/Schedule: PRN/Varied 8-hour shifts
