Jefferson Radiology in Connecticut is seeking an experienced Medical Office Scheduler to support breast imaging services. You will coordinate schedules with radiologists, enter cases in RIS, and ensure accurate, compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required, with 3+ years of medical office experience (radiology preferred).
• Experience managing physician schedules or facilitating physician workflow is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and radiology subspecialties is required.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong general computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with Radiologists, staff and various resources to maintain a consistent, efficient workflow with daily completion by end of day.
• Accurately schedules recall breast exams and mammography biopsies; enters information into the RIS and Outlook calendar with correct patient and clinical details.
• Ensures all necessary information is in the RIS for mammography exams, breast ultrasounds, and biopsies; reviews requisitions for proper study.
• Works with referring physician offices to obtain missing requisitions and verbal orders when needed and confirms correct clinical information.
• Adheres to all policies including Compliance, HIPAA, OSHA, licensing and accreditation guidelines.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

• Works directly with Radiologists, staff and various resources. Maintains consistent, efficient workflow with the goal of completing daily work by end of day.
• Accurately schedules recall breast exams, mammography biopsies.Demonstrates in-depth understanding of breast imaging guidelines. Accurately enters breast biopsy information into the Outlook calendar, to reflect correct patient information, pertinent clinical information and referring physicians.
• Ensures all necessary information is in the Jefferson Radiology Information System (RIS) on all scheduled Mammography exams, breast ultrasounds and breast biopsies. Reviews requisitions for appropriate clinical information to determine proper study for Mammography exams.
• Works with the referring physician offices to acquire missing requisitions, obtain verbal orders if necessary and to confirm correct clinical information.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures, including Compliance, HIPAA, OSHA, and licensing and accreditation guidelines.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

COMPENSATION & TOTAL REWARDS

The hourly range for this position is$21.00-$23.00. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications,geographic locationetc. Final compensation is determined based on education, experience, certifications, and geographic factors.
