Job summary

RahrBSG in Shakopee, MN seeks a Technical Malting Supervisor to oversee all stages of the malting process, ensuring quality and process specs are met. The role blends hands-on production with quality control, data tracking, and continuous improvement, while developing toward full malting management.

You will work with maintenance and quality teams to optimize operations, troubleshoot challenges, and maintain consistent malt quality across batches in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or related field required.
• Experience in agricultural processing or food manufacturing preferred.
• Internship or project work in grain systems or thermal processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee malting process stages with focus on stability and optimization.
• Apply engineering principles to improve hydration, modification, airflow, moisture control, and thermal efficiency.
• Analyze production data to identify variability, yield loss, or energy inefficiencies.
• Develop SOPs for malting operations.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to improve reliability and asset utilization.
• Monitor product quality and use predictive models for consistent malt production.
