Job summary

Bullfinch Recruitment is partnering with a client to recruit a Head of Finance to be based in Malta. This is the number one finance seat, responsible for building the function from a blank page and owning the financial narrative for the Board, regulator, banking partners and shareholders.

The role is positioned as CFO-designate with the potential to grow into Chief Financial Officer as the business scales. You will sit on the senior management team and lead a team as the function matures.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with senior finance experience in regulated financial services.
• Demonstrated financial modelling and analytical capability.
• Proven ability to present to a Board, regulator, auditor and banking partner.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting and IFRS financial statements.
• Lead safeguarding and treasury functions and liquidity management.
• Oversee regulatory returns and capital planning with MFSA.
• Develop budgeting, forecasting, and MI for Board and shareholders.
