Job summary

Acuity Care Group is seeking a compassionate Male Support Worker in Lincoln to provide 2:1 support to a non-verbal male with complex needs. You will assist with daily living, emotional wellbeing, and behavioural support, promoting independence and choice in a respectful, person-centred way.

The role requires 2:1 teamwork, calmness under pressure, and strong communication with the client and wider care network. A UK driving license is preferred to support SUV transport when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with autism and learning disabilities is mandatory.
• Full UK automatic driving license and willingness to drive the client’s SUV.
• Ability to deliver person-centred behavioural and emotional support.
• Experience providing personal care and daily living assistance.
• Excellent communication with the client and support network.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2:1, person-centred daily living support to the male client.
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Promote independence, choice and positive outcomes.
• Respond to changes in emotional wellbeing or behaviour calmly.

Male Support WorkerLocation: LN2, LincolnRate of Pay: £14.18 per hour (Weekly or Monthly pay available)Contract: 24 hours per week on shifts either 8:00am - 20:00pm or 20:00pm - 8:00am.We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic Male Support Worker to join our dedicated team, providing 2:1 support to a male living in Lincoln. The gentleman we support is non-verbal and mobile with some wheelchair support on occasions and has severe learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy and behaviours that can be physically challenging.You will provide consistent, person-centred support with daily living, emotional wellbeing and behavioural support, while encouraging independence, choice and a positive quality of life. Building a genuine relationship is an important part of this role. He enjoys 4X4 off road cars, Animals, Mr Bean, Arts & Crafts and spending time with his family.

Experience and Skills of a Support Worker

• Autism and learning/developmental disabilities - Mandatory
• Supporting individuals with behaviours that may be perceived as challenging
• Full UK Automatic Drivers license and be willing to drive the person we supports SUV
