Job summary

ASG Home Care is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in New Jersey to support individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will work one-on-one following each ISP to promote independence and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to pass fingerprinting, background checks, and drug screening (required)
• CPR/First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)
• Prior Direct Support Professional (DSP), caregiving, or related experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide Individual Supports and Community-Based Supports as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
• Assist with daily living skills (meal preparation, hygiene, organization, routines)
• Support community integration, outings, and appointments
• Encourage independence, socialization, and skill development
• Provide supervision and ensure safety at all times
• Document services accurately and timely in HHAeXchange (EVV)
• Communicate effectively with families and office staff

Position Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with ASG Home Care, you will provide hands-on support that promotes independence, community engagement, and daily living success. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work one-on-one with individuals in both home and community settings while following each Individualized Service Plan (ISP).
