Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field of science.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a research environment.
• Experience handling insects and/or invertebrates, including mosquito colony maintenance.
• Experience handling and monitoring laboratory mice in a research setting.
• Knowledge of microscopy, PCR, or related methods used to assess infection levels.
• Experience organizing and managing research data for analysis.
• Proficiency with R, Python, or similar data analysis tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data recording.

Responsibilities

• Infecting mice with Plasmodium parasites and monitoring infections for mosquito infections.
• Maintaining colonies of mice and mosquitoes and monitoring infections as needed.
• Generating a unified repository from existing datasets for statistical analysis.
• Performing other lab duties as assigned.
