Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Temporary Technician (Peach) in Athens, Georgia, to support an applied research program on mosquito surveillance in both agricultural and natural environments. The ideal candidate will contribute to field sampling efforts as well as laboratory duties, including specimen sorting and data analysis.

Applicants should have experience or training in entomology, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in warm and humid conditions. This position provides hands-on experience in vector ecology research.

Qualifications

• Training or experience in entomology, particularly with mosquito identification.
• Knowledge of chemical attractants and repellents.
• Ability to maintain accurate field records.
