Requires a degree (or equivalent) and 3+ years in a makerspace or similar setting; strong fabrication tools experience and a commitment to safety are essential. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in art, design, fabrication, engineering, education, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years managing or working in a makerspace, studio, or similar environment.
• Experience with fabrication tools, technologies, or studio equipment.
• Experience budgeting, tracking expenses, and overseeing financial resources.
• Supervisory or leadership experience.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends for events.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day makerspace operations, scheduling, access, and usage.
• Ensure safe operation, maintenance, and upkeep of equipment and tools.
• Develop, document, and enforce safety procedures and user policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized creative environment.
• Coordinate equipment repairs, service contracts, and vendor relationships.
