Job summary

Moberly Area Community College (MACC) in Missouri seeks Makerspace Lab Technicians to assemble and install equipment, storage units, and furniture for MACCLab. This is a temporary, part-time position.

Candidates should be mechanically inclined, able to follow manuals, and work with minimal supervision. Experience with assembling items from written instructions and using common hand tools is preferred; safety requirements must be followed.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with hands-on aptitude.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written instructions and manuals.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Skill in using common hand tools safely.
• Willingness to learn new software and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow safety requirements for equipment.
• Experience assembling items from written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support day-to-day operations of the makerspace and its technologies.
• Maintain the lab software and hardware, ensuring they are clean, safe and ready for operation.
• Perform equipment maintenance when appropriate and alert the Makerspace Coordinator if the need for a specific service call arises.
• Coordinate with computer services when necessary.
