Job summary

Mactech Inc in Red Wing, Minnesota, is seeking an Assembly Technician I to join our manufacturing team on a Regular Full-Time basis. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with duties including building crates, assembling mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components, and reading blueprints for production of industrial equipment.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, the ability to lift 50+ pounds, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions.

Responsibilities

• Build custom wood crates, pallets, skids, and shipping containers for industrial equipment.
• Assemble mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components into new products.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials using hand and power tools.
• Perform quality inspections and functional testing on equipment.
• Diagnose defects and assist with repairs and adjustments.
• Support rental equipment maintenance and refurbishment.
• Work closely with Manufacturing and Field Service teams.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Perform other duties as needed to support operations.
