Deerfield Public Library is offering a MakerSpace internship in Deerfield, IL. This hands-on, part-time role supports daily operations, patron assistance at the MakerSpace, and events with friendly staff.

Collaborate with the MakerSpace staff to assist in all aspects of the daily operation and use of the MakerSpace.
Provide excellent customer service while working at the MakerSpace service desk.
Answer phone calls and help patrons with both scheduled and walk-in projects.
Assist patrons and staff with MakerSpace related equipment, software, and activities.
Operate and provide basic troubleshooting for MakerSpace equipment.
Assist Library staff with planned programs and events, including setup tasks and guiding patrons.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Active MLIS/MLS students encouraged to apply
Strong customer service and communication skills
Robust computer and technology skills, experience with MakerSpace technologies
Ability to work collaboratively with a team

This position is eligible for paid personal hours at a proportional rate based on the number of hours scheduled to work.
