Carleton Living is hiring a Make Ready Technician for Ridgewood West, located at 2830 Lake Road. The role focuses on preparing apartments for move-in and maintaining exterior property upkeep, with a team-oriented, customer-service driven culture.

You will be responsible for cleaning, repairs, and ensuring all systems and appliances operate properly, contributing to a positive resident experience and property standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well with others and take direction from supervisor while working independently.
• Basic writing and reading skills required.
• A commitment to exceptional customer service is critical.
• Some plumbing, electrical, general maintenance and appliance repair knowledge preferred.

Responsabilités

• Remove trash and items left by the previous resident.
• Repair and prepare walls, doors, wood trim, closets, and cabinets for painting.
• Repair glass items such as windows, medicine cabinets, mirrors, etc.
• Ensure proper operation of stove, vent-a-hood, garbage disposal, refrigerator, dishwasher, water heater, HVAC, washer and dryer and any other appliances.
• Repair minor problems and report major problems to management before move-in.
• Ensure proper operation of window blinds/curtains.
• Ensure door latches operate properly and have carpet clearance.
• Install weather stripping around doors and windows.
• Repair bathroom floor and wall tile as required.
• Re-key master locks and provide keys for leasing prior to move-in.
• Repair leaking faucets, water pressure lines, and drain line leaks.

Position Overview:

The Make Ready Technician is responsible for preparing an apartment for move in after the previous resident has moved out. In addition, the Make Ready Technician is responsible for the daily upkeep and cleaning of the exterior of the property.

Property Name: Ridgewood West

Property Size: 232 Units

What You’ll Do:

• Removal of trash and all items left by the previous resident.
• Repair and prepare walls, doors, wood trim, closets, and cabinets for painting.
• Repair any glass items such as windows, medicine cabinets, light globes, mirrors, etc.
• Insure proper operation of stove, vent-a-hood, garbage disposal, refrigerator, dishwasher, water heater, HVAC, washer and dryer and any other appliances.
• Repair minor problems and report major problems to management so they can be repaired prior to move-in, i.e., major HVAC repairs, large sheet rock repairs.
• Ensure proper operation of all window blinds and/or curtains.
• Ensure all door latches operate properly and have the proper carpet clearance.
• Install weather stripping around doors and windows where required.
• Repair bathroom floor and wall tile when required.
• Re-key master locks and make keys available for leasing prior to move-in.
• Repair all leaking faucets, water pressure lines, and drain line leaks.
