Job summary

ResProp Management is seeking a Make Ready Technician to join our Fort Worth community team. You will prepare apartments for move-ins and maintain common areas to ensure resident satisfaction, while coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor on daily priorities.

The role requires 1+ year of maintenance experience, a toolbox of essential trades skills, and a willingness to work weekends/holidays. A team-focused, safety-conscious mindset is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of general maintenance/general repair experience, preferably in multifamily or related industry.
• Trade skills including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, framing, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliance, etc.
• Trade Licensing preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in to ensure resident satisfaction.
• Maintain common areas (pools, laundry, clubhouses, parking lots) to drive property performance.
• Respond to work orders promptly with quality workmanship.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize daily tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
• Perform preventative maintenance to preserve property value.
• Identify and report safety hazards or maintenance needs to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Use software to track work and personal performance.
• Contribute to a team in a dynamic, developing environment.

What you'll be doing as a Make Ready Technician:

• Ensuring Resident satisfaction by preparing vacant apartments for move-in.
• Driving property performance by performing any and all work that produces clean, safe, and attractive common areas, including: pools, laundry, clubhouses, parking lots, etc.
• Driving resident satisfaction by responding to and completing work orders timely in a quality manner.
• Coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor and team to prioritize tasks throughout the day.
• Providing excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
• Maintaining property value by performing preventative maintenance throughout the property.
• Ensuring a safe work environment by identifying any issues regarding safety, hazardous conditions or maintenance needs on the property and correcting them and/or reporting them to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Using software applications to track work and personal performance.
• Be a part of a team handling a variety of tasks in an always developing environment.

What You Must Have

• At least 1 year of general maintenance/general repair experience, preferably in the multifamily or related industry
• Trade skills including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, framing, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliance, etc.
• Trade Licensing preferred but not required
• Must have own hand tools
• Must live within 30 minutes of community
• Must be willing to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays
• Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule
• *Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job such as lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.

What's Nice To Have

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

Requires ability to walk, stand, sit and climb stairs alternatively for the purposes of completing office work, inspection of apartments, and to conduct sales tours. Approximately 60% of time spent walking and climbing and 30% sitting. Requires the ability to lift or carry for the purposes of document dissemination, preparation of apartments for customers, and moving furniture/appliances within the office and apartment environment.
