Job summary

Belmark Inc. invites applications for a Press Operator at our Pressure Sensitive plant in Phoenix, AZ. You will help ensure proper equipment and materials are ready at press and follow the operator’s instructions for setup, operation and cleanup.

Day-to-day work includes maintaining the production area appearance, assisting with setup and plate mounting, stocking press supplies, and backing up the operator when needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of the English language.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
• Requires education equivalent to two (2) years of high school.
• Ability to meet deadlines. May be required to work some overtime.
• Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
• Physical requirements: stand/walk, lift up to 100 pounds on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper equipment and materials are at press.
• Follow press operator’s instructions to assist with press setup, press operation and press cleanup.
• Responsible for the overall appearance of the production area.
• Increase production efficiency through daily duties and proactive adjustments.
• May operate a press to backup press operator.
• May mount plates on cylinders.
• May bring stock from warehouse to press.
• May make plates.
• May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Properly dispose of waste ink, spent solvents, and other designated waste according to hazardous waste guidelines
