Job summary

Apartment Management Professionals (AMP) is seeking a Make-Ready Technician to prepare vacant units for new residents. You will perform general maintenance and repairs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure turnover timelines are met on multifamily properties in Austin, TX.

This hands-on role requires basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and appliance work, plus painting and safety compliance. You will respond to tenant requests with excellent service and may be required to work after hours or

Qualifications

• Proficient in electrical, plumbing, drywall/paint, carpentry, ceramic/tile, and appliance work.
• Experience with turnovers and make-readies in multifamily housing preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong multitasking abilities with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Availability to work on-call, including after-hours and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete all maintenance service requests as assigned in a timely manner.
• Ensure apartment units are turned over efficiently and within established timelines.
• Follow the make-ready and punch checklist to ensure all tasks are completed.
• Identify and address issues requiring repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and appliance repairs.
• Install and remove appliances, ceiling fans, light fixtures, and blinds.
• Perform touch-up painting duties for both exterior and interior surfaces.
• Respond promptly to tenant requests, delivering excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws, including Fair Housing regulations.
• Perform any other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations
