Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Make Ready Technician in Orlando to restore vacated units to market-ready status and perform general maintenance inside and outside the property.

You will support the property team with timely repairs, keep common areas in good condition, and ensure safety and OSHA guidelines are followed while maintaining tools and reporting hazards.

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience is required.
• Basic computer skills are required to perform job functions.
• Regular manual, task-oriented work under supervision.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must provide own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Restore vacant apartment units to market-ready status in a timely manner.
• Perform exterior grounds and common area upkeep.
• Identify and report hazardous conditions to Community/Service Manager.
• Follow preventive maintenance programs and document per BH guidelines.
• Maintain and secure property-issued tools.

Pay Range

THE APPRROVED PAY RANGE IS $19.50/HR

Position Summary

The Make Ready's primary responsibility is to ensure that all vacant apartment units are restored timely to market-ready status. This position will also perform general repairs and assist in overall maintenance of the property's interior and exterior. Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer. Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Essential Job Functions

• Uses industry-specific technology to ensure all repairs and replacements are completed timely to restore units to move-in ready condition within company standards.
• Performs repairs, replacements, and upkeep related to exterior grounds and common areas of the property.
• Assists with the identification and correction of hazardous community conditions and liabilities and reports hazards to Community Manager and Service Manager.
• Assist in ensuring that established preventive maintenance programs are followed and documented per BH program guidelines.
• Responsible for the maintenance and security of all property-issued tools.
• Post notices to vacate and other community communication, if applicable.
• Understands and complies with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and all other safety requirements. Knowledge of federal, state, and local code and internal policies, initiatives and systems regarding maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills

• General maintenance and safety experience.
• Basic computer skills/knowledge required to perform job functions.
• Regularly performs manual, task-oriented work under direct supervision.
• High School or GED (General Education Diploma) preferred.
• Required to provide own (industry specific) hand tools.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday (work schedule may vary depending on business needs). Some overtime may be required and ability to work extended hours as needed to meet business needs.

Physical Requirements/Environment

• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Full range of motion with upper and lower body. Continual movement including, but not limited to: standing, walking, bending, stooping, crawling, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to work with both hands for frequent grasping and manipulation.
• Push or pull items and reaching overhead.
• Operation of a motor vehicle onsite, if applicable.
• Exposure to all weather conditions.
